After more than three years, we’re finally back in Japan! For this trip to Fukuoka, we chose to fly with China Airlines direct from Taipei to Fukuoka: outbound flight CI110 and return flight CI117. This was not only our reunion trip to Japan but also the first-ever flight experience for our new family member, “Little Lemon.”

This article is my China Airlines Fukuoka flight record, honestly and comprehensively covering: CI110/CI117 latest flight times, A330-300 economy class seat space, in-flight meal reviews, and the most valuable experience of flying with a baby (including bassinet booking, stroller boarding, and priority clearance). If you’re planning a Fukuoka trip, this comprehensive guide is a must-save!
China Airlines Taipei to Fukuoka Flight Information
| Flight Number | Route | Scheduled Departure Time | Scheduled Arrival Time | Aircraft Type |
| CI110 | Taipei (TPE) ➔ Fukuoka (FUK) | 06:50 | 10:00 | A330-300 |
| CI117 | Fukuoka (FUK) ➔ Taipei (TPE) | 20:35 | 22:20 | A330-300 |
Just before departure, Typhoon Mawar was approaching Taiwan.
I was really worried about whether we could fly out, constantly checking the typhoon updates, feeling very uneasy.
Since our departure time coincided with the “typhoon’s closest approach to Taiwan,” I was anxious. But somehow, the typhoon slowed down, allowing us to depart smoothly!

CI110’s scheduled departure time was 06:50 in the morning, and the weather was calm with clear blue skies.
Both CI110 and CI117 use the A330-300 model, designed to replace the A300.

The economy class is arranged in a 2+4+2 configuration, with a total of 277 seats (30 in business class). You can refer to the seating chart below, directly from the China Airlines official website screenshot. We sat in the seventh row this time.

On certain dates in 2026, CI117 may be operated by an A321neo. It’s recommended to confirm the aircraft type when booking. The A330 is a wide-body aircraft, offering a relatively stable ride.
China Airlines to Fukuoka – Actual Flight Experience
The most meaningful part of this trip was Little Lemon’s first international journey at seven months old. Flying with a baby on China Airlines’ Fukuoka route has several highly recommended “hidden benefits”:
- Priority Lane: Thanks to the baby, we could use the business class priority lane during boarding, avoiding long lines with all our bags.
- First Row Bulkhead Seat: The ground staff thoughtfully arranged for us to sit in the first row, offering ample space and a wall-mounted baby bassinet.
- Baby Bassinet Request: It’s advisable to call China Airlines customer service to request a bassinet right after booking. It’s suitable for babies under 11 kg and 71 cm in height.
- Baby Meals: China Airlines provides baby meals (usually including 3 packs of fruit puree, diapers, and bibs), which is very considerate.
- Stroller Service: You can push the stroller all the way to the gate and hand it over to the flight attendants. It can also be retrieved at the cabin door upon arrival (subject to airport regulations).
We booked our tickets through EasyFly, totaling $57,818 for four adults and one infant, with the infant ticket priced at $1,430, including 23 kg luggage and baby meals.

The stroller can be taken directly onto the plane and pushed to the gate, with flight attendants assisting with boarding.
No need to queue when boarding! You can use the priority lane.
For the first time, we used the business class lane, thanks to the baby XD

Due to having a baby, China Airlines ground staff arranged for us to sit in the first row, with plenty of space and a baby bassinet provided, which was very thoughtful.

Once everyone was on board, the flight attendants handed out the baby meal, which included 3 packs of fruit puree, diapers, wet wipes, and a bib.
The bassinet is installed on the wall after takeoff by the flight attendants. I have to praise my sister for having an angelic baby. We left for the airport at around 3 AM, which was exhausting even for adults, but the baby was calm, drank her milk, and slept until landing.

Seeing her sleep so peacefully in the bassinet, it looks like she’ll be a great travel companion. Next year, we can take her to Thailand to see elephants.

On the flight to Fukuoka, China Airlines offered two meal options: Three-Cup Chicken and Pork Rib Rice. In terms of taste, I would say “it’s airplane food” XD
It’s not bad, but it’s definitely not delicious either.
However, I really liked the I-Mei Baoji Juice that came with the meal, something I’ve enjoyed since childhood.

On the return trip, I preferred the Tomato Sauce Hamburger Steak with Rice. Although it got a bit salty towards the end, the texture was good.
China Airlines Fukuoka Flight Review

For this trip to Fukuoka, we purchased China Airlines’ round-trip tickets from Taipei to Fukuoka. The flight time was two hours, with almost no delays. The early departure and late return times were perfect, allowing us to enjoy a full five days in Fukuoka. Returning to Taiwan at around 10 PM wasn’t too late either.
It was our first time flying with a baby, and we’re grateful to the friendly ground staff in both Taipei and Japan, as well as the flight attendants, who provided a lot of help!
Yes! Several airlines offer flights from Taipei to Fukuoka, including Tigerair Taiwan, China Airlines, EVA Air, Japan Airlines, and StarFlyer.
The direct flight from Taipei to Fukuoka is not long, approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Ticket prices to Fukuoka vary by airline and season, ranging from $5,000 to $23,000. I think during regular times (non-holidays), budget airlines under $7,000 (excluding luggage) and traditional airlines under $15,000 are reasonable prices.
According to data, CI117 has a high on-time rate.
